La Collezione Cerruti. Guida
A handy guidebook to discover the masterpieces of the Collection and the rooms of the house-museum.
The extraordinary collection, built up over the years by Francesco Federico Cerruti, Genoese by birth but Turinese by adoption, is now open to the public thanks
to the generosity of this self-effacing and reclusive businessman, who passed away in 2015 at the age of 93. This ambitious project has involved the renovation of the villa that he built in Vicolo dei Fiori, close to the Castello di Rivoli, as well as state-of-the-art technologies to ensure safety and security. Nearly a thousand items, comprising 300 works of painting and sculpture ranging from the Middle Ages to the contemporary era, some
200 rare books with precious bindings, carpets, furniture by renowned cabinetmakers, ceramics and silverware constitute a collection of the highest distinction. It maps a journey through the history of art, mostly Italian, from the 14th century to the early 2000s.
