Sewn on three cords, laced in; two kettle-stitch bands. Smooth spine, tooled in gold with five strips forming bands and four compartments tooled in gold with hatched tools, roundels and a solid flower tool. Green silk endbands, single with a bead; cord cores cut off. Gilt edges, gauffered with a knot pattern. White paper paste-downs and free paper endleaves; fragment of parchment spine lining visible.
